Today I realised in a surge of panic that the more-or-less-relaxed-time between thesis and written exams has definitely ended. Means I have to fall back to what I did during the thesis, hence weekend play and a lot of thread-dropping after midnight / 5 p. m. CST on workdays. This will unfortunately last until the first weeks of the new year, but after that IT'S OVER and I'm jobless or a taxi driver with a degree.

As I found out that I can finish my thesis without camping in the library and frantically typing into the morning hours, I've tentatively started throwing out my characters out again this week and it seems to work, yaaay. Also I noticed that my "who's that player"-meme is still on Wes' account, so I drag it over here with some updates.

Not only there's an EOI update from Monday, but also a very cute picture of Pirate!Megan from another comic artist Bill Bailey.

Back then I still viewed it as "who do I think deserves to be in camp most?" And of course Wesley Crusher was one of the first people to come to my mind. Select Option 3? Actually playing him revived my sympathy for him and parallel to his age in the series I let him grow up a bit. He was far more annoying in his first year in camp.

So ... I wasn't around much, right? Now here's the deal, this was the semester break. Classes start next week. Haha.

Well, actually my outlook is rather zen because I tested a new method to somehow play in CFUD against all odds of real life and timezone: I overcame my hesitation to jump old posts. Because of my timezone it could mean that I would wake up, make a placeholder comment in the post I wanted to play with and when I came back from the library or work was very positively surprised to see that the OP picked it up.

Now, to my delight, people seemed to be okay with me just commenting to posts half a day or a day old. You can't imagine how happy this made me ♥ You guys are awesome. Right now I see this as the only way to not lose touch completely with the game, as I'm not only on a shitty timezone but my online time gets more and more scarce due to my last year in university approaching.

But I'm totally aware that it can be demanding to play a thread that is one or more days old. And yes, even after two years in here (ogod) and knowing that it's silly I'm still paranoid and insecure, that's why I just make sure I'll offend no one. If I jump a post which you considered as closed, done with and over and you feel uncomfortable playing something that you consider as past, just tell me :)

Reversed this of course means, if I dropped a thread you want to continue, I'm always up for picking it up again. Even if it's weeks old. Go ask Ami or Enjolras IT WORKS. Also Vimes, yes, I'm looking right at you.

Name: Megan
Age: "Early twenties". I said 21. As she came to camp in November and her birthday is the 1st of April, she's is technically 24 now, but camp doesn't let her age.
Hair: Blond.
Eyes: Blue.
Height: I said small-ish and I think  5' 2". No evidence in canon for this.
Weight:  Normal weight for her age and height.
Bloodtype: Not specified.

Medical info: Nothing special to see here. She probably gets supplements because of her vegan diet.

Physical traits: She looks like an elf! But she isn't one. She only has pointy ears, but she can't walk on snow or talk to trees.

What's okay to mention: Everything.  Feel free to recognize her from her canon - you would be the first one but by now she kind of expects it to happen.

Note for the psychics: Megan is so normal that psychics may fall asleep while reading her.

Abilities: She learned to use a crossbow in camp and has had a year of training now. Besides that, nothing.

Shapeshift/bodyswap/etc: Sure!

Hugging/Kissing/Nicknaming: Go ahead. If she doesn't know you and you kiss her, there will be a slap and some shouting. If you're small and cute hugging is okay. Comfort hugs, snuggling and comfort kisses from friends are okay, too, she is perfectly able to draw a line between that and Serious Business. Which is reserved to Marius who isn't in camp anymore.

Fighting: She can defend herself if she needs to but is aware that she doesn't have a chance against 99% of the campers. So she won't openly search confrontation.

Maiming/Killing/Death:  I'd like to avoid this because of emo. A broken limb or so will be fine, but nothing that puts her life into danger.  She died once in the Caves of Despair so far and that's enough.

Cooking:  She's learning from Minagawa since a couple of months and can cook pretty decently by now.
